Comporta Is Considered Trend Destination

Trivago highlights Comporta as the trend destination in Portugal

The Herdade de Comporta, located in Grândola, Portugal, is the “great trend destination” for 2017 according to Trivago, an online platform for research and hotel booking. This destination is part of the list “Emerging beach destinations in Portugal” elaborated by Trivago, referring Comporta as one of the “beach destinations with greater demand growth over the past years”.

Trivago describes Comporta like this: “less than an hour away from Lisbon, Comporta is a dream destination, deliberately untouched. Located in the municipality of Grândola, in the limits of Sado Estuary’s Natural Reserve, the beach of Comporta is a natural preserved space, with white sand and calm and clear water”. It also adds: “from the ensemble of emerging beach destinations, Comporta is that whose demand has grown the most in the past years”.

After Comporta, in Trivago’s list, based on a study of the more than 4 million daily researches, Torres Vedras and Manta Rota are also on top. Next, there is Sines, Caminha, Odeceixe Foz do Arelho, Calheta, Ovar and Porto Santo (Madeira Island). “Besides the beaches of Santa Cruz and Porto Novo, Torres Vedras offers golf courts, equestrian centers, pools and even the Thermal Resorts of Cucos and Vimeiro – very popular for the therapeutic quality of their waters”, considers Trivago.

For the moment, it is planed the opening of a new hotel in Comporta, Quinta da Comporta, between April and May 2018. This will offer 24 hotel rooms, 18 town houses and 5 lodges with 3 bedrooms for sale, with hotel management and exploration.  This 4 star hotel will also present a spa, a bar, a restaurant, a poll and a kids club. The idea is to create something similar to the life style held by Comporta’s houses.
