Situated in the middle of Serra da Arrábida, Galapos beach is paradise on earth, with its beautiful clear water surrounded by white sand. The water is so crystal clear and calm, that you can see the bottom of the sea, which makes this beach an ideal one for scuba diving or spearfishing.
4. Costa da Caparica
Costa da Caparica and its beaches used to be mainly a fishing site. With the construction of the 25th of April bridge, though, because of the easy access to these paradisiac retreats, they became quite popular among Lisboners. This still holds true and the Caparica coast line is usually very crowded in the summer. There are many beaches to choose from and the further from the city, the more unspoilt they are.
