Concerts, treasure hunts and theater plays - are some of the activities that Sintra parks have planned for children during the Christmas season
This Christmas, the parks and monuments of Sintra have prepared various activities for the youngest. The Farm of Monserrate will be open door, children will be able to ride a donkey, take walks in the woods, watch plays and attend concerts for babies.

Bebés em Festa – Concert Um dia na Floresta
Concert for babies with classical and erudite music that will take place in the Palácio de Monserrate, on December 18, from 10h30. Recommended for families with children from 3 months to 3 years old. It lasts 45 minutes and the ticket for an adult and a child costs 15 to 20 euros.
Feel the nature
Outdoor stroll in the Parque de Monserrate that promotes contact with nature and is intended for families with children from 3 to 6 years. It lasts for 1h30 and costs € 8 per participant.
Treasure hunt
Exploration activity in the Parque de Monserrate - search of hidden clues that lead to the discovery of a treasure. Participants are invited to decipher puzzles and riddles and have fun while they learn. Recommended for families with children from 6 to 10 years. Costs € 8 per participant.
With the donkey and the chicken we discovered the little farm
Traditional games, puzzles and tasks to get the participants to discover the Monserrate Farm - Quintinha de Monserrate and get to know the secrets of a country life. This activity lasts 2 hours and costs € 8 per participant.
The daily lives of animals
The children are invited to get in direct contact with the animals and to know a little more about their day-to-day life in the Quintinha de Monserrate. Two-hour activity recommended for families with children from 4 to 10 years. Costs € 8 per participant.
Royal Treasure Hunt
Participants are taken to discover the nooks and crannies of Parque da Pena and to question about themes related to the nature and history of the place. Activity ends with celebration of the treasure discovery. Suitable for families with children from 10 to 14 years. It lasts for 1h30 and costs € 8 per person.
Conquering the castle
A playful way of discovering the Castle of the Moors and its millennial history. The participating teams are divided between Moors and Christians and are invited to conquer the castle in a battle in which the winner is the one who knows the most. Recommended activity for families with children from 6 to 12 years. Cost of € 8 per person.
The king's treasure
Participants are challenged to travel back in time to discover what happened to the king's treasure. Through clues, look for the treasure hidden in the National Palace of Sintra until the mystery is unveiled. It is recommended for families with children from 6 to 12 years. The activity lasts 1h30 and costs € 9 per participant.
Discovering Cork convent
The challenge proposed is to find the treasure enclosed in the walls of the Capuchos Convent, the TAU, a symbol used by the Franciscan friars. It is intended that participants discover space by solving puzzles. For families with children from 6 to 12 years. Duration 1h30, cost € 8.
The court in Queluz: Travel to the daily life of the seven hundreds
Travel to the 18th century and spend an unforgettable afternoon with the family in the Palácio Nacional de Queluz. This activity consists of a guided exploration tour under the theme proposed with the use of historical animation and the involvement of families in various moments of animation. It is recommended for families with children from 5 to 12 years. The activity lasts 2 hours and costs € 9 per person.
Games garden
In search of the answer to a mystery with a few centuries, participants engage in eighteenth-century games to find the answer they are looking for from track to track. Activity held in the gardens of the National Palace of Queluz for families with children from 8 to 12 years. It lasts for 1h30 and costs € 8 per participant.

Concert for babies in the Palácio de Monserrate that promotes the playful-musical interaction between parents and children. Accompanied by four musicians make up a journey through classical classical music, with Christmas themes. Theater at Palácio da Pena
On December 17, a play will be held at Palácio da Pena. This activity is suitable for families with children from 3 years old. It is a puppet and music piece that takes the children to discover the history of the Pena Palace. After the show, families can freely visit the Palácio da Pena. The play lasts 45 minutes and costs € 25 for an adult and a child.
